So, Phoenix is totally awesome! I wasn't a fan of the car ride there, and I was even less happy about the trip home. In between the car rides was fantastic though. We ate at some really great restaurants. We went to Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West property. It was neat. I learned a lot about the desert and his minimalistic impact on nature and his outside the box thinking on material uses. Pretty deep knowledge for a 15 month old!
I also went to this neat rail road park. They had slides and stuff, but they also had a choo choo train that my mom and dad and I rode on. They had a carousel ride too. I wasn't sure what to make of that. That tends to be my reaction to most things the first time I do them. Next time I'll think it's fantastic!
My hotel was beautiful. My boy Frank Lloyd Wright consulted on the project. I don't know if he had anything to do with the pools, but they were soooooo much fun. They had a 92 foot waterslide. You had to be "this" tall to ride it. I wasn't "this" tall though. Maybe next time. I had a small crib in the room. It was quite distracting to have my parents sleep in my room though. I'm not used to seeing them that much. Man, don't they know what privacy is??? After swimming in the pool one night, I was really sleepy and wanted to cuddle with my daddy. He makes a great pillow!
The day we left, my mom was packing up all the suitcases. I just didn't want to go. So I sat on the lid. Mom said she would zip me up in there. I was fine with that because that's where all my toys were! Jeez mom, come up with a real punishment!
