Dancing with the Stars

So for those that asked here's the scoop with Dancing with the Stars! We had so much fun. Taylor (Stella's former nanny) got 3 tickets last week to the premiere episode which aired yesterday. Taylor invited Krystle, who works at The Little Gym with me and I was so excited and ticked all at the same time for Krystle. Excited that she got to go, ticked that I wasn't. So at the end of the day last Friday, Krystle told me that Taylor was going to invite me as her other guest. OMG! I was so excited. I immediately headed to the mall to figure out something to wear since all I own are gym clothes! Ughh! The moral of the story is to be nice to people who do or have worked for you :)

So yesterday we left for LA to head to the taping. While we were in line, we saw Mark Ballas. Krystle got a hug from him and his autograph. Yes, that's my business card!

He was really nice. While we were in line we also saw Joey Fatone (he drives a Cadillac DTS), Kristi Yamaguchi (drives a Toyota minivan), Courtney Kardashian (drives a white Porsche), and Bruce Jenner (drives an Escalade). There may have been more, but if you know me, you know I have NO MEMORY!

The taping was live. It started at 5pm our time. At 4:50pm we still didn't have seats and didn't know if we would get in to the studio. They called us in and we were so excited! I didn't get to sit with Krystle and Taylor which is really too bad because Krystle and I could have combined our vocal power to possibly get backstage passes. They promised backstage passes and tickets to the finale for those who were loud. I really can be loud. The lady sitting next to me was not thrilled that I could be loud. Whatever! I was not thrilled that she brought her cell phone in, so we're even! The taping ended at 7pm and we were hoping to go mingle and make new friends with the professional dancers. The stars are cool, but it seemed to be the general consensus that we were more enamoured with the pro's than the stars. But, no...there was no mingling. The studio did not allow cell phones or cameras into the show. So I have no pictures. We were not asked to be interviewed after the show. My favorites were Toni Braxton, Brooke Burke, Cloris Leachman, Lance Bass and Warren Sapp.

So we headed off to dinner at Maggiano's at The Grove which was right by the studio. While were eating we saw Lacey, one of the new dancers on the show and from So You Think You Can Dance, Cody Linley who apparently is on Hanna Montana (he made me feel old since I had no idea who he was), and on our way out we saw Derek Hough and his partner from last season Shannon Elizabeth. They are really skinny! Hopefully, they actually ate some pasta while they were in Maggiano's! I swear to you one strong wind comes along and both of them will be whisked away! I just want you all to know, Cheryl Burke is STUNNING in real life! The rest of them, need to eat a dang sandwich!

So here is Taylor with Shannon and Derek. Taylor decided to profess her love for Derek in a "completely non-stalker kind of way". Yes, she said this to Derek. Poor guy. He was really nice too. I'm a total moron and couldn't figure out how to turn on the camera. No, I wasn't all star struck! I borrowed my mom's camera because mine is HUGE and I don't have a little point and click kind of camera. So, I'm dumb and Derek said he was a "camera genius" and got it to turn on. So here is a picture of Taylor and her new best friends!

Well, for as many celebrities that I've met and gone into their homes, I've never asked for a picture or an autograph. I thought it was about time I did. Krystle and I had our pictures taken as well. Here we are. I swear, I'm not this fat. I mean I have some weight to loose, I'm not going to lie about that, but I swear to you that these "stars" are freakishly small. So, I'm going to go throw up my coffee now so that I don't feel like a giant cow.

It was a super fun night. Thank you Taylor for letting me come along! I had so much fun!!!
